Wrestlers Go 2-1 in Quad

FAIRMONT — Fairmont Senior’s wrestling team went 2-1 in a quad match with Lewis County, Robert C. Byrd and Bridgeport.

The Polar Bears defeated RCB (52-24) and Bridgeport (42-25) but lost to Lewis County (53-26).

In the Lewis County match the Bears got wins from Austin Patterson (112), Eric Annan (135), Chris Vandetta (160), Jacob Steele (171) and Isaac Morgan (189).

The win for Morgan was his 100th of his career.

In the win over RCB, Steele (171), Morgan (189) and Kyle Evans (152) all won their match by pin. The rest of the Polar Bear points were awarded as forfeits.

In the win over Bridgeport Patterson (112), Wesley Haddix (119), Steele (171) and Morgan (189) all recorded pins. Annan (135) and Vandetta (160) both had decision victories and the Bears had two forfeit wins.
